BITS, Pilani - Admission for Ph.D. Programs

Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses in the following disciplines:

Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Economics and Finance, Electrical &Electronics Engg., Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engg., Pharmacy, Physics, Languages and Humanities and Interdisciplinary areas such as Biotechnology, Energy, Environment, Robotics (Nano-Science & Nano Technology), Water Management, Public Health etc.

Qualification:

• M.E./M.Pharm./ MBA/ M.Phil of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
• Candidates with an M.Sc./ B.E.,/ B.Parm or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate will also be considered for Ph.D.
• Industries and R&D organizations collaborating with BITS may sponsor candidates to work for Ph.D. under “Aspirants Scheme”. Its details are available at www.bitsadmission.com
• For the Ph.D. Programmes short listed candidates will be required to come to Pilani / Goa / Hyderabad campuses for test and / or interview.

Assistantship/Scholarship: Applicants for admission to Ph.D. programme will also be considered for Project/Research Assistantships to the tune of Rs. 10,000/- to Rs.14,000/- pm or more in addition to tuition fee waiver scheme. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and other developmental programmee of the Institute under the guidance of a mentor.
