PhD Programme 2017 from IIIT Guwahati

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Guwahati, invites applications for admission to Doctor of Philosophy Courses (PhD Programme) 2017 session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on or before 15^th January, 2017.

PROGRAMME DETAILS:

• Areas of research, Computer Science and Engineering: Networks, Information Security, Soft Computing, Image Processing, Operating Systems
• Electronics and Communication Engineering: Microwaves and Antennas, Communications, Circuits
• English: Linguistics

ELIGIBILITY:

• Masters’ degree in Engineering / Technology in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60 percent of marks.
• Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Medical Sciences or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70 percent of marks.
• For admission to the PhD Programme in English, applicant must satisfy one of the following criteria:
• M.A in Linguistics with at least 55 percent marks or a CPI of 6.0.

SELECTION PROCESS:

• Students can be admitted throughout the year. However, the first round of admission will be held based on applications received by Second week of January, 2017 by holding a test or interview in the last week of January, 2017.
• Admission to all categories of students is granted on the basis of interview/admission test.
